June 27: Life Lately

Post wedding vineyard lunch on the drive home with R.  I think I would live by vineyards again.

Birthday party in the park. The boys joined a swarm of over 32 kids...
Each morning we wake up and they are all crowded into our bed.

Friday June 21: Pure Life Energy

In yoga, there's a strong focus on the life energy - releasing it, harnessing it and getting back in touch with it.

Watching Mr. Biddles play - is a reminder that babies are pure joy and pure unadulterated life energy.

Incredibele!

Oh The Places I'll Go...

Oh the places I'll go....

The Kids Weekend: Party In The Park

That Saturday boy 1& boy 2 went on the subway to take-won-do, then we went to Indigo to buy a birthday present, then we went to grocery store to buy lunch, then I went to library with boy 2, then we went to buy groceries for the week, then we walked to the birthday party in the park where the boys played for three hours and got soaking wet. Then we walked home (in the rain) for hot baths and a second round of dinner. Then boys 2&3 went to sleep while boy 1 waited up for Daddy. I should add that I did 40 minutes cardio before all this.  But when my stomach isn't bothering me, I actually love the feeling on non stop activity, just for sensation of collapsing into a hot bath and bed.

June 2: 4 Years

The thing about parenting is that it's just all cliches.

Today's example - how different Avery and Seth (and soon Biddle) are.

Avery at 4: has a total sense of his own style (backwards shorts, spiderman boots, a bowtie and t-shirt are a daily outfit); loves cooking, used to love Barney, is always trying to keep up with the big kids on our street, will do just about anything for a popsicle or chocolate egg, loves cooking, pretending to be Harry Potter, is into painting.

I worry about him being a bit too classic middle child - caught between wanting to keep up with older brother and wanting the attention of the baby.

But Avery is a genuine original.  Unconcerned about what other people, teachers and kids think, he does is thing.

Avery is four!
